Printed in Paisley in 1818, this edition of A General Description of the Shire of Renfrew by George Crawfurd presents structured biographical records of Scottish nobility with a central focus on the House of Stewart. The author outlines the genealogies of local dukes, earls, and other aristocrats connected to the region, with mention of monarchs Charles I, Charles II, and James II. Included in this quarto volume are two folding maps, one folding facsimile, and two full-page engravings. The printing was executed by J. Neilson and sold by H. Crichton. Very Good condition.
