First edition, first printing. Published by Andre Deutsch in London, 1961. This is a very good copy. The dust wrapper, brightly designed by Kenneth Breese, is mostly clean, but with tears to the top and tail edges and handling marks throughout. It has not been price clipped and shows the original 16s net price. The boards are free from notable chips and marks and the text blocks are bright and white; the front board, however, is very slightly marked. The internals are bright, clean and free from foxing. SIGNED on the front endpaper by John Updike to his children's nanny: 'To Sally/with regards/John U./ This copy is free from previous owners ink and is, overall, in very good condition and rare signed The author's second novel, and fourth publication, following 'The Poorhouse Fair', 'The Carpentered Hen' and 'The Same Door', not in that order. 'Rabbit, Run', describes what happens when Rabbit bolts.
