OVUM 10 no.2., OVUM, Montevideo, Uraguay, March 1970. The most important Mail Art periodical of South America edited by Clemente Padin. The first era of this periodical was named OVUM 10, which focused on alternative art, poetry and collage. This issue features work by Jochen Gerz, Guillermo Deisler, Jindrich Prochazka, Adriano Spatola, G. Coppini, E. Miccini, Alain Roussel, Jean-Claude Moineau, Joaquim Branco, Maurizio Osti, Julien Blaine and Manuel Quejido. Cover image by Alain Arias-Mission. The artwork opposite the colophon is a photogrpah of a nude male, with a pin stuck through the page. The text beneath the image invites the readerto stick the pin into the image, titled CAMPANA MUNDIAL PRO-ERRADICACION DE LAS TORTURAS A LOS PRESOS POLITICOS . Adriano Spatola s work is comprised of the text printed FUEGO , with a hole burned into the page making up the O. Condition: imprints and holes from pin, presumably by the editor and intended scorch mark for the fuego piece, some handling and surface wear to covers. Overall very good +
