An excellent copy with unclipped dust jacket of the first edition of Sassoon and Dale's controversial book. Using a translation of part of the Zohar as a starting point, they examine whether a machine could have been created in biblical times which turned algae into human food. Sassoon, a polymath scientist and engineer, attempted to build the machine using notes in the Zohar. Extraordinarily, the authors posit that a nuclear reactor -housed in the Ark of the Covenant -was used to power the machine. The machine would be cleaned and maintained every seventh day, leading the authors to theorise that this was the origin of the Sabbath. A classic of the genre of revised history as mystery, the book is very scarce in this edition and especially so in this condition. Pages are completely clean and bright: no inscriptions, no tanning or foxing. The binding is excellent and covers are clean. Dust jacket is very good: unclipped, clean and bright, the most minor shelf wear at top and perhaps a little general rubbing here and there. No loss at all to cover, unlike many copies for sale. Book has perhaps the slightest of leans. A really excellent copy and a must have for the collector of this type of work. Now with a protective removable clear cover. See photos all of which are of the copy for sale, we don't use stock photos. More photos available on request. All books dispatched quickly with the highest levels of protection, thanks for looking
