Signature of "Howard Malcom January 1820" on the front free endpaper. Howard Malcom (1799-1879) was an American educator and Baptist Minister. He was Pastor of three Baptist Churches: in Hudson, NY; Federal Street Baptist Church in Boston; and Sansom Street Baptist Church in Philadelphia. In 1835 he went as a missionary to India, Burma, Siam, China and Africa, writing several books about his experiences as a missionary traveler. Also, there is a small penned signature on the title page for "Rd. Hopkins 1709". The front cover of this book is detached, spine lacking upper corner and portions of the edge, back cover still attached, binding tight, interior foxing.
