Interesting is the provenance, with an inscription fromE. Sir John Dove, who is listed in the appendix as a past grand commander of the Richmond Commandery, to Samuel M. Todd.Todd (1815-1905) served as Grand Master of Masons in Louisiana in 1859, 1868, and 1870-1872.
