The first UK edition of Twain's classic fictionalised account of his walking tour of central and southern Europe. The correct first issue with the publisher's advertisements dated 'October, 1880' bound at the rear. A very good copy overall, neat bookplate to front pastedown, spotting to outer leaves and edges of text-block, light wear to extremities with minor chipping to spine ends.
