Jacket Condition: . 1st Edition 20 x 27 cm green boards with yellow stamped decoration and titles to the spine viii, 100pp with monochrome illustrations in blue, orange and green and 8 full page colour plates by the author. With its original unclipped dust jacket priced at 10s 6d. net. The boards are clean and bright with a small 3mm scratch on the front board which also has a little lifting at the corners and slight bruising to the corners. Internally there is a little toning to the endpapers where the dust jacket does not reach and a gift inscription to the front free endpaper but otherwise the book is clean. The dust jacket is an amazing survivor; complete with a little dust marking to the rear panel and flap edges. There is a small 4mm hole in the front panel matching the scratch on the cover and four small closed tears of between 0.4 and 1.5 cm. There is very minor loss to the corners and head of the spine. A lovely copy of this illustrated collection of eight short stories, in a remarkably well preserved dust jacket.
