Green paper covers with titles and decoration in black; stapled twice; oblong 8vo; 38pp; illustrated with 13 plates, one by Carl Rungius and others from photos, line drawings. Compiled by Prentiss N. Gray for the Boone and Crockett Club and the National Collection of Heads and Horns of the New York Zoological Society. In his bibliography, "The Derrydale Press", Siegel states, "The scarcity of this work is due to the extremely low survival rate. The bulk of these copies were either discarded or returned to Remington. Our estimate is that fewer than 100 copies survive today." "According to the foreword, a reprint of the measurement tables of the proceeding work (1932) but without the measurements of the polar bear, jaguar, walrus and musk ox." (Heller) This was published by the Derrydale Press for Remington and bears their name at the bottom corner of the title page. This copy in VG condition with virtually no cover wear; internally quite clean & bright. One of the nicer copies now available. Collectible as a Derrydale item as well as a B&C piece.
