In fair condition, with discoloration and scuffing to exterior. Losses at head and heel of spine. Cracking to hinges at front and rear. Occasional instances of wear throughout text block. Includes several full-page colored plates, along with foldout map with tear to edge. Also includes various in-text black-and-white sketches. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. An extremely scarce work. Nina Elizabeth Mazuchelli (1832-1914) was a British travel writer who, along with her Anglican clergyman husband, traveled throughout the Himalayas for two months while he was posted as a military chaplain. Includes depictions of Mt. Everest, which had been officially named by the British a decade prior. A great piece for restoration.
