An A.L.S. (handwritten letter) an eight line letter concerning a promise he made to design a monogram for Lester Hodges, from Deems Taylor to Hodges a vocal teacher, coach accompanist for Charles Thomas, Grace Moore, Gladys Swathout and Nelson Eddy. Included is a sample of the monograms, an 8"x10" black and white photograph of Taylor inscribed "For Lester who is why if I could sing, I would never sing a Capella Deems Taylor" , plus another 8x10 of Taylor inscribed to Hodges taken by Barrett Gallagher, plus an 8x10 photo of Lester Hodge.
