Printed in Lisbon in 1778 by the Typographia Regia, this Carmelite chant manual was issued for the Lusitanian congregation of the Discalced Carmelites. Its issue from the royal press indicates its ecclesiastical authority and intended use within monastic communities. Surviving examples in contemporary binding are uncommon.
