First Easton Press edition, signed by Margaret Thatcher on the edition page, as issued. Dedicated to Ronald Reagan, Statecraft was Thatcher's final book, providing her analysis of foreign policy in the post-Cold War world. The Easton Press edition, a handsome publication for the collector market, was published the same year as the unsigned trade edition issued by Harper Collins. While there are multiple signed editions of Thatcher's other books, this is the only signed edition of Statecraft. It is the scarcest of her signed books, as she was then in failing health and signed far fewer copies than her previous works. Loosely inserted is the publisher's printed certificate of authenticity, dated 4 March 2008. Octavo. Original blue bonded leather, spine lettered in gilt, covers panelled in gilt, pink silk endpapers, gilt edges, yellow silk bookmarker. A fine copy.
