Gilt decoration on front cover shows a scene where many fairies push away the clouds to reveal the sun. 5 1/4" x 7 1/2." 358 pages, complete. Eight colour plates and many black-and-white plates and in-text illustrations, all complete. Illustrations by Henry J. Ford. Pages are very clean and intact overall Some wear and tear to the spine bands and panel edges Spine has badly faded and has some small pinholes, moderate darkening and slight wear to extremities. End pages whole, Covers are clean, some small marks to rear, a beautiful front cover which is very bright and gilt deep etched, a small rubbed area on top right of cover. Artist Cecil Rice's signature on free front page. it has has been read hence effects of palm on spine, but not abused and kept very well.
