London: Adam and Charles Black, 1905. First limited edition. Number one hundred and seventy three of two hundred and fifty copies. This is a very good (or better) copy. Original white vellum with green leaf decorative border to the front panel, with gilt titling and details. Gilt titling to the spine. Some slight handling marks, and some minor bumping to the spine. Internally, this copy is clean, but for some toning to the front endpapers. Affixed to the front fly is the bookplate of Lilian Bishop. The frontispiece is present with a crisp tissue guard. Minimal foxing to the text blocks. It is signed by the author and poet laureate Alfred Austin to the colophon, in black ink. This copy is free from ink inscriptions and is, overall, in very good (or better) condition.
