Sm4to. Unpaginated. The volume was put together in an "exhibition" format with Introduction by Thomas H. Garver, Assistant Director of Rose Art Museum. This statement follows Garver's introduction: "All photographs exhibited are black and white, the majority of them untitled. For this reason the customary catalogue list would be meaningless. Each photographer is represented by fifteen to twenty prints, and a note describing each man's work is substituted." However, in actuality there are only 2-4 prints each. The photographers are: Bruce Davidson, Robert Frank, Lee Friedlander, Ralph Gibson, Warren Hill, Rudolph Janu, Simpson Kalisher, Danny Lyon, James Marchael, Duane Michals, Philip Perkins and Tom Zimmerman. Very good plus book in very good dust jacket. evergreen paper covered boards with gilt-stamped lettering on spine. Board spine is lightly scuffed. Outermost extremities are sunned. Light foxing and age-toning to external page edges. Shadow-transfers and glue-stain residue on end-papers; small stains on fore-edge of FFEP. Text pages are age-toned. White glossy dust jacket with red and black lettering on the front jacket panel and spine. Jacket is soiled overall, heavier on spine and folds. Upper edge at head of jacket spine is chipped; back corner has a 5/8" closed vertical tear along the back spine fold, and front corner has a 3/16" closed vertical tear along the front spine fold; both adjacent diagonal crease to the upper edges of back and front panels. Upper edge of front panel has a 1/4" closed vertical tear and with several diagonal creases to the upper edge. Front inside flap has a 2 1/4" by 1 3/8".
