Winner of the Hugo, Locus & Nebula Awards. Became the first novel in Niven's "Ringworld Series" [set within his "Known Space" universe]. "Ringworld" was first published as a paperback [Ballantine Books, New York, 1970]; it wasn't published as a hardcover until 1972 [Victor Gollancz, London] with this copy released by RU under its "Science Fiction Book Club" imprint the following year.
