Hardcover; no dustjacket. Colophon on copyright page, with NAP. Brown cloth, with blue lettering. Wear at the corner tips, and some rubbing/bumping at the spine extremities. Some light rubbing along the bottom board edges. A bit of darkening at the bottom corner of the rear board. There is a scratch in the cloth at the spine head, through the word "The" (almost a tear, but not quite. And a tiny pinhole in the cloth about 3" up from the tail. A bit shaken, and the board fore-edges are splayed out just a bit. The front flyleaf is missing; excised about 1/2" from the hinge. The endpapers are foxed, and just a bit of foxing to the half-title, title page, and last blank. Page edges age-darkened, and the topstain is faded. Else pages clean.
