Advantage Multi for Dogs is a monthly topical solution that prevents heartworm, controls intestinal parasites, and treats and kills fleas. The solution comes in an applicator tube and may be colorless or yellow. The dosage schedule and dosage formulation are intended to provide at least 4.5 mg/lb. (10 mg/kg) of imidacloprid and 1.1 mg/lb. (2.5 mg/kg) of moxidectin, based on body weight. Special Precautions Accidental ingestion by dogs can result in serious side effects, including generalized muscle tremors, panting, incoordination, dilated pupils, salivation, or depression. In dogs sensitive to avermectin, the side effects can be more serious and could include coma or death. For 30 minutes following treatment, make sure that dogs can't lick the application sites on other treated dogs or themselves.
