There is an 'important' note added to the text before the Introduction, which refers to the fact that at the planned time of printing it was 'impossible to see the effect which war conditions would have upon the pottery industry in Great Britain.' Dated 1st January 1947, it makes a promise of 'advice of reinstatements' as products reappear. (NB title states 1940-1950). It also states the illustrative format of this publication: 19 frontispieces in colour & 13 half-tone illustrations and 2,165 line drawings to scale. Condition assessed as poor mainly because of the state of the book's spine which is very frayed; plus the bottom half is attached to the book block by a thread of the cloth. Internally, the news is better. The main condition-related issue is the mild to moderate tanning throughout, with occasional spotting. Illustrations are largely unaffected as the effect tends to be located more at the margins. Unpaginated. 8vo (imperial octavo). In English and Spanish. Please note that, depending on destination, we may request a payment to cover any extra shipping/postage charges. Proceeds to Amnesty International. Abe2544.
