This is a very good copy free from internal inscriptions, boards bound in the original publisher's black cloth with silver titling to the spine, pushing to the head of the spine, the pictorial end papers illustrated with the 'General area of Hobs End and Studley Constable', the text block with some browning. The very good unclipped wrapper with chipping to the spine and pushing to the spine tips and minor bumping to the knuckles of front and rear flap folds. Jacket illustration by Barry Glynn. The Eagle Has Landed by Jack Higgins is a thrilling World War II novel following a daring Nazi plot to kidnap British Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. The story is driven by a complex cast of characters, including German paratroopers, British villagers and resistance fighters. With its blend of historical events and fictional intrigue, the novel captures the tension and bravery of wartime espionage, becoming a best-seller and a classic in the genre. It was quickly adapted into a British film of the same name, directed by John Sturges and released in 1976, starring Michael Caine, Donald Sutherland, Jenny Agutter and Robert Duvall.
