These collars are made to be worn for every day use for the average family dog & for average exercise & activity. I would not recommend these collars for very active dogs that are often in water, shrubs & bushes as the grosgrain ribbon is not strong enough to withstand such elements. I ask that you use common sense!If your dog is a scratcher & repeatedly scratches their collar, it will wear down the grosgrain material & will very likely be damaged.
