Our new version features a handy, snapable "Bug Resistant" Lid that pops right on & off from the bowl base. When in place, the Bug Resistant Lid will confound all sorts of feeder insects like roaches, worms, & crickets. Take it off to empty & clean the bowl!! Bowls available in Small Square (perfect for breeder bins & other small enclosures), Medium, Large, & "Shorties" Large. One of the pictures above shows how this works: A roach crawls up the wall, is forced to enter the crevice b/c there are no other options, & once in there he cannot turn towards the center of the bowl 'cuz he's too long. Unable to formulate a new plan, he's bugged. HA! Oh, & crickets... who would have thought they could be bugged out so easily? Being stuck inside a circular bowl with a double-rim confuses crickets. They try to use their default escape plan, the "turn & leap", but seem to get stuck repeating the "turn" part over & over because they can't find a clear path. Stuck in a loop: he's bugged! Please note: these bowls are "bug RESISTANT", not "bug PROOF". I made some that are actually "bugproof" but they are also nearly "lizardProof"... this BugResistant design is a good mix of containment & accessibility. I can typically restock any Stroodies color within 24 hours of your request I make these beauties with my 3D printers out of PLA plastic in Rochester, NY. PLA plastic is comprised of tough fibers from plants like sugar cane or corn. This material will hold up for years in a Gecko environment.
