Greensand (the sparkly kind), Super Greensand, Worm Castings, Powdered & Crushed Coastal Shells. This custom blend of all organic ingredients should always be offered in your habitat...that's why I call it "The 24/7"™. By blending these essential nutrients, we encourage natural foraging behavior. It is recommended to put this blend in a dish separate from daily food offerings & change it weekly. Hermit crabs are intuitive eaters. They eat what they need & leave the rest. But don't throw those remnants away....just empty them right onto your substrate...your crabs will be happy & continue to forage. If you have springtails & isopods in your tank, they love to devour this mix right off the substrate, too! Available in 1/4, 1/2 & 1 pound packages. ~Greensand & Super Greensand are primarily Glauconite which is naturally found in marine sedimentary deposits. It is an excellent mineral supplement that crabs, isopods, & springtails LOVE. Greensand contains more than 30 trace minerals & Super Greensand contains more than 65 of them! ~Worm castings contain many types of powerful organic material. Unlike other animal droppings, they are 100% safe without treatment or waiting. Minerals such as calcium, nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium & magnesium are some of the key players here! -Coastal Shell Flour & Crushed Coastal Shells are the same ingredient. One is ground to a very fine powder while the other is pulverized to about half the size of a garden pea. Shells are an excellent source of calcium which is essential for building a strong exoskeleton. I offer both crushed & flour because two is always better than one, right? Small crabs (like captive bred babies) NEED their oyster shell in powdered form! Besides, I'm sure it piques the interest of their natural foraging & picking tendencies. All land ingredients are either certified organic, foraged/dispatched from my pesticide-free, private land or sourced from local farmers who are family friends.
