Up for sale is a classic 1930's production Browning Auto-5 12 gauge shotgun with matching serial numbers. This Belgian-made A5 features the iconic long-recoil operating system designed by John Browning and is marked "Fabrique Nationale D'Armes De Guerre Herstal Belgique - Browning's Patent Depose" along the receiver. This example has a 27" barrel marked "Modified 12 Special Steel," chambered in 12 gauge and holding 5 rounds in the tubular magazine. The original blued finish remains in solid vintage condition with honest wear consistent with age. The wood stock and forend show handling marks and finish wear as pictured, but remain structurally sound with good checkering still visible. The matching serial numbers add to the collectibility of this early Auto-5. The buttplate is marked "Automatic Browning," and the barrel retains its factory markings and Belgian proof stamps.Overall, this is a great opportunity to own a pre-war Belgian Browning A5 - perfect for collectors, Browning enthusiasts, or anyone looking for a classic humpback shotgun with history.
