This Barrett Model 82A1 .50 BMG - one of the most iconic large-caliber rifles ever made. The Barrett Model 82A1 is a semi-automatic, recoil-operated rifle chambered for .50 BMG (12.7x99mm NATO) - a powerful round originally intended for machine guns - making this one of the first shoulder-fired rifles capable of using it. Originally developed in the late 1970s and coming into widespread use by the U.S. Marine Corps during Operation Desert Storm, its battlefield role has included long-range anti-material and sniper applications.
