Fluorite is a common mineral in both carbonate and hydrothermal rocks. Fluorite is perfect for hands on lessons in hardness as well as the fickle method of identifying minerals by color. An excellent example for lessons in cleavage as it is one of the few minerals that has four perfect planes of cleavage. While each specimen will vary slightly in shape size and color it will measure approximately 1 in length. Each is individually packaged labeled & barcoded for easy identification and storage.
