First introduced in the 1970's, Pente is a contemporary strategy game based upon several closely related games that have been popular in Asia for centuries. All of these games can also be played the Pente board. The object of Pente is simple - a player wins by placing five stones in a row (horizontally, vertically or diagonally) or by capturing five pairs of an opponent's stones.
