Collins, who began his astronaut career as one of ""the Fourteen,"" the third group of NASA astronauts, is best known for his work on Apollo 11, when he manned the orbiting spacecraft alone as Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon. Signed copies are scarce, but signed first printings are genuinely rare, as the book was quickly reprinted within months of publication. An appealing copy of a significant memoir.
