Handsomely printed by Giovanni Mardersteig in Dante type (one of the innovative types designed by Mardersteig) on paper made by Fratelli Magnani in Pescia, using a 19th-century hand-press of the Officina Bodoni in Verona. Signed by T. S. Eliot in ink on the colophon page. Printer's device in red on the colophon page. Includes slipcase in matching marbled paper. Book protected with clear archival Grafix Dura Lar dust wrapper. ____ CONDITION: Book is in fine condition, slipcase is NF. Vellum spine bright and white, gilt titling sharp and well preserved. Bookseller pencil notation at top of rear pastedown, otherwise no markings or ex-libris. Corners sharp and corners and edges are free of the usual rubbing and paper loss seen in this edition. Text block square and firm and all hinges intact. Interior pages in fine condition throughout. Sipcase: NF. Tiny areas of rubbing at corners of front board and bottom rear corner, barely noticeable through the busy marbled paper. Corners are sharp and all slipcase edges are intact.
