Robert Foran (1881-1968) ivory hunter and author of several volumes of hunting and travel books - including Elephant Hunters of Lado, Kill or Be Killed, A Hunter s Saga, A Cuckoo in Kenya and more and who accompanied T.R. On his famous 1909 African Game Trails Safari along with F.C. Selous and R.J. Cunninghame; And, C.R.S. Pitman,(1890-1975) Game Warden of Uganda (1924-1951), a world class Herpetologist and author of A Game Warden Takes Stock, A Game Warden Among his Charges as well as his classic A Guide to the Snakes of Uganda ( compiled with the help of his friend C.J.P. Ionides). Foran s book described here -A Hunter s Saga- is a Xmas Gift from Foran to C.R.S.
