Kiyoshi Suzuki (1943-2000) started his career as a documentary photographer. He was a professor in Tokyo College of Photography. During his life he published 8 photobooks. He became famous only after his death. This is the first and most famous book made and published by Kiyoshi Suzuki (Self publishing), 1972. Black and white photos of the life in the coal mines, traveling street theaters, inner side of festivals etc. Text in Japanese. Privately published, limited to 1500 copies, rare. Black cloth hardcover with original dust jacket. Minor stains to the dust jacket. Slightly oxidized endpaper and flyleaf. The content is very clean. Fine condition. 20,4 x 22,6 cm. 81 b&w plates. Text in Japanese.
