The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Salt Lake City. 1963 (1964). 558 pages. Last copyright date is 1963, with 1964 date present on the title page. Book is housed in an original, rare 1964 New York World's Fair promotional DJ. Laid in is a Man's Search for Happiness feedback card, unique to the World's Fair, requesting your observations and experience at the Mormon Pavilion and exhibit. This promo card also provides the opportunity to request free information regarding, but not limited to, the non-use of tobacco, liquor, etc., modern-day prophets, and family relationships after death. Also laid-in is an Articles of Faith card, of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with the hours of the Mormon Pavilion on it, at the 1964 New York World's Fair. As for the book, it is tight and clean. Issued in flexi balloon cloth covers for easy reading. No reader's crease on spine. Light tanning to inside covers from DJ. Pages and endpapers are clean. Light soiling to flexi-covers. Cover material would give way to a light wipedown should you choose. DJ shows a couple of small edge chips, mostly at foot and crown. An attractive, unique Book of Mormon, as issued for the 1964 New York World's Fair with uncommon DJ in addition to the World's Fair exhibit prayer card, and feedback request card.
