Large quarto, [xii], 315 pages with numerous illustrations ('over 160 watercolours in all and over 120 works in other media') with a tipped-in frontispiece (a large colour photographic print of 'The Presentation', 269 × 206 mm). Full grey calf lettered in silver on the spine and front cover; short crease to the inside bottom corner of the frontispiece; trifling production flaw to one opening (pages 200-201); a near-fine copy with the plain cloth slipcase (the cloth now a little mottled). The 135 watercolours featured 'in this volume are a chronological survey of Norman Lindsay's work in the medium from 1897 when he was eighteen years old to 1969 when he died at the age of ninety. Where my research has found other works relating in any way to the 135 featured watercolours . they have also been reproduced, and in some cases works in other media with the same title but unrelated to the watercolour have been reproduced for clarification purposes. There are over 160 watercolours in all and over 120 works in other media' (Author's Notes).
