Original ink drawing: 11 inches by 7 3/4 inches on a sheet of Bainbridge Illustration Board Number 80. 20 inches by 10 inches. Signed by the artist with initials (RB) within the image. Drawn by Rainey Bennett (1907-1998) for inclusion in Who's Hooey: Nitwitticisms of the Notable, a satirical book by the leftist American writers, Arthur Zipser and George Novack. The caption for the drawing reads ""John D. Rockefeller (who has a pocketful of dimes): I see nothing more to worry about."" The reference is to the December 1931 comment by Rockefeller in reference to the Great Depression. Bennett was a successful watercolor artist, illustrator, and author of children's books. His work can be found in many American museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Museum of Modern Art in New York, The Art Institute of Chicago, The Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Brooklyn Museum. A first edition of the book is included with the drawing. The drawing is in very good condition; clean and bright within the image, with a short superficial scratch in the lower left corner of the drawing. There is some relatively minor soiling in the blank margins. Size: Elephant Folio - over 15"" - 23"" tall
