(The story was later made into a book in 1981) The art comes with impeccable provenance having been acquired directly from the estate of Garth Williams via auction. The art depicts the Pigeon and the Cricket with immense detail. The scene is at the edge of a pond with the cricket sitting on a rock talking to the pigeon. The area is surrounded in reeds and grasses and a moon is in being reflected in the water. This is the final piece of art that was used in the publication of the story.
