Lube screen printing workshop with embossed Studio Bruckmann chop mark on left and signed in pencil by the artist on right below each serigraph; also signed by the author of the text on front half-title page; from a total edition of 635 copies signed by author and artist [the ordinary edition of 450 copies numbered 1 450 are signed by the artist and the author but without each individual serigraph being signed, as here]. Text printed on folded double gray laid paper. Gilt end-papers. Bound in Red cloth covered boards with title printed in black on spine and Adami illustration in black on front cover. Each image size: 40cm x 29.5cm; Sheet/page size 50cm x 42cm Case size: 52cm x 42.5cm. Fine copy in dj with illustration in gold and black and with three small, 2 cm tears, in front top edge, in slightly rubbed original cloth covered custom made matching case. The text and sequence of graphics show the intellectual and real-political path from Nietzsche's ""will to power"" to the catastrophe of the Third Reich. The text is Occasional Poem No. 27 10 lessons on the Reich by Helmut Heissenbuttel, with text in German/French, and a translation into English. Adami is an Italian painter/ printmaker associated with Pop Art. As a key figure of the New Figuration movement, Adami rejected Abstract Expression in the 1960s in favour of figurative painting with abstract elements. His style is characterized by flat planes of colour enclosed by thick black outlines. Retrospectives have been held at Centre Pompidou in Paris, Centre Julio-Gonzalez in Valencia, and Boca Raton Museum of Art.
